From the December 3, 1943 meeting, Rotarians were pleased to hear from Mr. Herman Steinkraus, (Colonel), President and General Manager of the Bridgeport Brass Company and also the holder of the Distinguished Service Cross for bravery in action during World War I. He indicated that there were lessons to be learned from World War II, namely, reduced amount of isolationism, more co-operation between labor & capital and that must keep strong as a nation if we are to enjoy a lasting peace and a high degree of material prosperity.
