PATRICK SEARS, New Spirit, Inc.
"Checking the Pulse of Today's Teenagers"
Is there a teenager in your life? Then you don't want to miss speaker Pat Sears on February 16th. Having spent over 18 years working with teenagers, he knows they are often misunderstood or underestimated by adults. Pat will help us understand that when you get past the baggy pants, crazy hair, body piercings, etc., and get to the root of who they are and what makes them tick, you realize how much they are capable of contributing to our society and the world. (P.S. Patrick's Dad is Rotarian Paul Sears.)
FEBRUARY 23rd, 2007
MARY ANNE HERRON
Mary Anne is currently employed by the Harold Grinspoon Charitable Foundation where she is the administrator of a number of programs. At our meeting she will speak to us as the overseer of five elementary schools in Cambodia and the new Sok Sabay Clinic in Phum Thom Commune of Lavea Em District of Kandal Province. A focus of her visit is the possibility of a collaboration of our club with a Cambodian Rotary Club. Mary Anne will be introduced by Steve Clay.

FROM THE ARCHIVES Minutes of Club Meeting, February 15, 1918: "The speaker of the day was Mr. J. Clyde Oswald who spoke upon the subject 'BENJAMIN FRANKLIN, OUR FIRST ROTARIAN.' Mr. Oswald is a recognized authority on the life of Franklin and in order to show the many sides of Franklin's character, he pictured a typical meeting of a Rotary Club of Franklin's time, giving as those present, representatives of the different professions as typified by characteristics of Franklin."
