MAGIC BY JONAS
Jonas Toutant is one of only a few full-time professional magicians in Western Massachsuetts. At the age of 5, Jonas knew he wanted to be a magician after seeing illustionist David Copperfield walk through the Great Wall of China on national television. Along the way to turning professional ten years ago, Jonas added the skill of balloon sculpturing to his performances. Jonas will be introduced by member Catharine Guertin.

JAZZALICIOUS auction on March 23 was a splendid, wonderful evening. Without the contributions, support, and manual labors of so many, the auction could not have been such a success. A special thank you to Matt Angstadt who served as this year's Auction Chairman...a daunting task to say the least. Thanks, Matt.
Thomas Jefferson may have been thinking of our club members, the auction committee and our Service Fund committee when he wrote, "I deem it the duty of every man to devote a certain portion of his income for charitable purposes; and that it is his further duty to see it so applied as to do the most good of which it is capable." Tom would be proud!

FROM THE ARCHIVES: April 5, 1929, The Spokesman. "The big auction! Wonderful time! Committee did big piece of work. Things did move with some 'pep.' $800 cleared. President Chester says, "Thanks, everybody." [Tell Bev if you know what $800 would be worth in today's dollars. Thanks.]
