WELCOME to new member Destiny Dudley who was inducted to Rotary on March 30, 2007. Destiny is currently enrolled full time in the Non-profit Management and Philanthropy Masters
program at Bay Path College. Catharine Guertin and Carol Harris are her sponsors. Destiny
writes, "Please extend my thank you to everyone for making me feel so welcome to Rotary.
Today was certainly a great honor. Thank you."
FROM MATT ANGSTADT: "Due to a change in my employment...I must regretfully resign from the Springfield club. My intention is to transfer my Rotary membership to the Sturbridge club. It has been an honor to be a part of such a distinguished group of individuals. Keep up the good work!" [Matt was Chair of Jazzalicious!) - We'll miss you, Matt. Good luck.]
JAZZALICIOUS (Postscript)): Thanks to those who responded to our plea, we now know that the $800 cleared in the 1929 auction would be equal to approximately $9,300 in 2007dollars. We can pat ourselves on the back: Jazzalicious topped that!

FROM THE ARCHIVES: Spokesman, April 17, 1929: "The boys and girls at the Shriners' Hospital can use a graphophone. If any Club member has one not in use these days, and he wants it to be put to good use and give a lot of pleasure, just send it to the Hospital. A few records thrown in will help, too." [Hope you're not inundated by these, Mark!]
