IN THE SPOTLIGHT - Atty. Abbe McLane - 2-year term, Board of Directors 2007-2008

Abbe is a solo practitioner in Feeding HIlls and a Licensed Attorney in both Massachusetts and Connecticut, having earned her bachelor's degree from Southeastern University, Florida, and JD from Western New England College School of Law.  Thanks to Abbe, our club has once again participated in the RYLA program.  You probably have felt her energy on our Auction and Welcoming Committees.  Abbe is President of the Agawam St. Patrick's Committee and a member of multiple organizations including Agawam Chamber of Commerce, Home Builders Association of Western Massachusetts, and Realtors Association of Pioneer Valley.  In addition to serving on our Board of Directors, Abbe is a Board Member of the Agawam Council on Aging, and the Agawam Small Business Assistance Center.  Abbe lives in Feeding HIlls with her husband, Lowell, and has three grown children.  In her spare time Abbe enjoys golfing, reading, traveling, cooking, and maybe even thinking about her home state of North Carolina.  (Interview conducted by Destiny Dudley)

AUGUST IS MEMBERSHIP & EXTENSION MONTH:   Remember, wear your Rotary pin---recycle The Rotarian with a friend or leave a copy at one of the many waiting rooms in our area.  Rekindle old relationships---let our website be known---let Rotary International website be known.  Recruit!  Recruit! (See Membership Chair, Jim Russell,  for more info.)

"...unless we continue to gain new members and keep the ones we have, Rotary will not survive."------RI President Wilfrid J. Wilkinson.

AUGUST ISSUE OF THE ROTARIAN contains 8-page 2007-2008 edition of Rotary Basics.  If you are not going to keep it, please bring it in to Bev so it can be passed on to a new member or used as a recruiting tool.  It contains information to help clubs educate new and longtime Rotarians alike.  Thanks for your help.
