January 18, 2008 – Andrea Chasen, Esq. is a Mediator Consultant and Trainer for the firm, "Resolutions". She is an attorney and deals with divorce mediation, workplace mediation, organization disputes and community & public confrontations, as well as other changes in management, sexual harassment, and integrating ethics into business practices. She will be introduced by Ellen Fryman.

January 25, 2008 – Ira Bryk is a director of the UMass (Amherst) Family Business Center, and has been active in ongoing professional development with Family Business Directors Alliance. She received her B.S. degree in education from the State University of New York (Buffalo) and is a teacher/director of an experimental K-thru 6 open classroom in Buffalo, New York. She will be introduced by Jim Russell.

Congratulations to Larry Eagan, Co-president of Collins Electric Co. for being cited as one of the upcoming young business leaders in Western Massachusetts. Great job Larry! This appeared in business West Magazine, recently.

Also, Rick Lee was pictured in Business West receiving an award check for the Pioneer Valley Red Cross Association. Good fundraising, Rick!

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:

Santa, AKA Rick Lee Executive Director of the Pioneer Valley Chapter of the
American Red Cross, paid a visit to the Springfield Rotary this past December.

While Rick has been a member of the Springfield Rotary for many years, many members were unaware of his dual identity as Santa. This past Christmas Eve was his 30th spent wearing red as Santa's alter-ego. He has appeared for the last 7 years in the Dan Kane Singers Christmas Show and for the last three with the Springfield Symphony for their Holiday Concert. He's brought a serviceman bound for Iraq home to his family on a surprise Christmas Eve visit, turned on the lights in Constitution Plaza in Hartford and made countless home visits to children around the holidays. He doesn't charge for his appearances but accepts donations for the American Red Cross.
