Three New Members Inducted into the Springfield Rotary

(1/15/08; Springfield, MA)  Carol A. Armour, President of The Springfield Rotary Club was pleased to induct 3 new members into the Springfeld Rotary at a recent meeting. New members are Allen Grosnick of Longmeadow, Mike P. Buckmaster of Springfield and Glenn Rosenberg of Longmeadow.

Santa pays a visit to Springfield Rotary's December Holiday Party

(1/9/08; Springfield, MA)  Santa, AKA Rick Lee Executive Director of the Pioneer Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross, paid a visit to the Springfield Rotary this past December.

While Rick has been a member of the Springfield Rotary for many years, many members were unaware of his dual identity as Santa.This past Christmas Eve was his 30th spent wearing red as Santa's alter-ego. He has appeared for the last 7 years in the Dan Kane Singers Christmas Show and for the last three with the Springfield Symphony for their Holiday Concert.  He's brought a serviceman bound for Iraq home to his family on a surprise Christmas Eve visit, turned on the lights in Constitution Plaza in Hartford and made countless home visits to children around the holidays. He doesn't charge for his appearances but accepts donations for the American Red Cross.

Santa joined longtime rotary member Bill R.Massidda and Holiday Program Chair to present a most memorable performance.
