Dear Fellow Rotarians,

Thursdays are Rotary! This Thursday we are having an evening meeting at 6:00 at the Longmeadow Adult Center (231 Maple Rd, Longmeadow 01106). It will be Rotary Foundation Pizza and Game Night. Family and friends are invited. Please rsvp to me (413-265-5448) so I can order the right amount of pizza ($10/adult, $5/child over 6). Proceeds will go to the Foundation.

Congratulations! Springfield Rotary surpassed its goal for contributions to the Rotary Foundation and Polio Plus. Thank you, Jack and Carla, for leading this campaign.

Springfield Rotary Club was granted a District Grant this year for our new project of Financial Literacy. Thank you Samalid and Flavia for your hard work. We will begin the project in September.

Last month we were collecting children’s books for the Haitian Immigrant. Thank you MaryAnne, Samalid, and Peter for your contributions. I can still drop off if there are more books coming. For August we are looking for new and gently used book bags and school supplies. Bring your contributions to our meetings or drop them off on my front porch.
