District Governor Kyong Wilson for the 2015-2016 Rotary District 7890 will visit the Club this coming Friday. Kyong Wilson’s impressive background in leadership roles, both professionally and within her community, made her an ideal candidate for the high profile position. Since the 1980’s Kyong has exclusively held leadership positions within her companies. Outside of her office, she has volunteered her time, holding leadership and management roles at many non-profit and charitable organizations throughout Connecticut. Her philanthropic commitments extend to such organizations as Bread for Life, the AMBER Alert, and the Berlin Food Bank. Professionally, she has been a member of the Greater Meriden Chamber of Commerce and has served as the Business Government Development Committee and an ambassador.

Kyong has spent almost two decades as the vice-president for multiple banks. Her expertise spans over many departments including, operations, underwriting, compliance, business and consumer lending, security, marketing and new business development. Her numerous activities may seem dizzying, but even with her various professional and philanthropic commitments, Kyong always makes room in her schedule to attend to her children’s scholastic and extracurricular activities. She has been the Treasurer of the Terry Nursery School, President of the Terryville High School Band Parents Group and PTO chairwoman at the Prospect Street School.
