The Rotary Club of Springfield elected their new President, John “Jack” Toner and Board of Directors for the 2015-2016 Rotary year at their June 26th meeting.
Toner, of the Sumner and Toner Agency in Longmeadow is the 101st president of the Rotary Club of Springfield. Toner joined the Club in August of 2011 and quickly distinguished himself as one of Rotary’s most active and popular members.
Toner has chaired the Club's Road Race fundraiser for the last three years and had previously served as member of the Club's Board of Directors until his election to President.
One of Toner’s goals for his tenure as President of the Rotary Club of Springfield is to continue the work of past president, Rick A. Lee and tap the potential of the club’s membership, both young and old. Toner believes that “fellowship paves the way for meaningful action in our community through membership engagement. “
