The Honorable Mark G. Mastroianni will address the Springfield Rotary Club's luncheon meeting this Friday, July 24th. Judge Mastroianni will reflect on lessons learned during his first year as a federal judge.
Mark G. Mastroianni is a United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and former Massachusetts District Attorney. Mastroianni has been a judge of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts in Springfield since June 2014. Previously, he served as District Attorney for the Hampden District.
Prior to serving as District Attorney, Judge Mastroianni was a sole practitioner, specializing in criminal defense. Judge Mastroianni began his legal career in the Hampden District Attorney’s Office. He is a graduate of Western New England College School of Law and the American International College.

The Rotary Club of Springfield is happy to welcome both Ellen Moorhouse and Michael Cooley to membership in July.
Ellen Moorhouse is a Springfield native. She is currently employed by the Springfield Housing Authority as a Senior Program Manager. Prior to her work for the city of Springfield, Ms. Moorhouse was a full-time real estate agent at NRG Real Estate, located in Longmeadow. Ms. Moorhouse serves on the Board of Directors of the Young Professional Society of Greater Springfield. She will be helping the Rotary Club of Springfield work on a grant to help provide to support work to bring clean drinking water to rural Cambodia.
Michael Cooley is a 3rd generation Rotarian, the son of the late Judge Sid Cooley. He recently retired from the Hampden County Family and Probate Court. Mr. Cooley serves on the Board of Directors of the Association for Community Living. In his free time, he enjoys golf and watching sports. At our most recent meeting, Mr. Cooley joined the Rockin’ Rotarians, and we look forward to his future involvement in the club.
Max Catering will be renovating our meeting room in for several weeks in August. We will maintain are regular Friday meeting schedule of 12:30PM to 1:30PM. The Basketball Hall of Fame and Max’s will provide signage to direct Rotarians to the 2nd floor Hall of Fame Board Meeting Room for our meeting.
The deadline to register for the District Golf Outing is July 29th.
You are cordially invited to attend the District 7890 Golf Outing on Monday, August 3, 2015 at Twin Hills Country Club in Longmeadow, MA. Have a great afternoon of golfing, fellowship, great food and fun all for the price of $125 – the same as last year.
Registration starts at 10:00 am.
A barbeque lunch will be served at 11:30 am with a shotgun start at 12: 30 pm
Reception, cash bar, dinner, ice cream bar and raffle at 5:30 pm
For non-golfers dinner is $35
