Dear Fellow Rotarians, this past Friday we had a very upbeat “meeting” answering phones and meeting new friends at Shriner’s Hospital annual radiothon. Nicole Wheaton, a past recipient of Shriner’s services, shared her history with Shriners and why she was inspired to help raise over $20,000 for them this past summer. Her smile alone was inspiration for us all!

THIS FRIDAY, Catherine Williamson, a certified dementia practitioner and gerontologist with SilverLife Care at Home will speak about the Springfield Dementia Friendly Coalition.
SilverLife Care At Home is a Gerontologist certified At-Home "Life Care" agency that serves the WHOLE person in living their authentic life at home.

SAVE THE DATE! AND BUY YOUR TICKETS BEFORE NOV 1st! The date of this year’s “Service Above Self” luncheon is Thursday, November 15th and you won’t want to miss it. The 9th Annual Service Above Self local honoree is Jeb Balise, the national honoree is Coach John Calipari and a special Rotary Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to our very own Jim Russell.  All three exemplify Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self”!  Congratulations to all!   Tickets for Rotarians remain at last years price of $60 if purchased by Nov1st! Sponsorship information has been emailed to all members, so please check your inbox!

Our meetings are once again back at the Basketball Hall of Fame and I look forward to catching up with all of you on Friday.

 Yours In Service,

President Sue Mastroianni
