Paul E. Lambert received a “District Governor’s Citation”
Springfield Rotarian Paul E. Lambert received a “District Governor’s Citation” at the Rotary Club’s December 8, 2017 meeting. Lambert, a Rotarian since 2008, received the citation for his dedication and hard work as the Rotary Liaison / Hall of Fame Representative to the Committee for the Springfield Rotary Club/Basketball Hall of Fame “Service Above Self” Award luncheon, which celebrated their Eighth Annual Award this past November. The award honors those in the local community and in the world of basketball who exemplify Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self.”

Lamont E. Clemons, President of the Rotary Club of Springfield says “If Rotary founder Paul Harris wanted to put together a Rotary Dream Team, Paul Lambert would absolutely be on it! He is a hardworking, dedicated and caring Rotarian.”
Lambert is Vice President, Enshrinement Services & Community Engagement at The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA. He has been with The Basketball Hall of Fame for 15 years. He and his wife Cynthia have 2 grown sons (Ben and Pete) and now reside in South Hadley with their three fur babies Bode, Mika and Maggie.
The Springfield Rotary Club meets every Friday at 12:15 p.m. in the Mass Mutual Room at The Basketball Hall of Fame, West Columbus Avenue, Springfield, and is a proud member of Rotary International.

Building on the successful “East of the River” RMB event that was held in November, we are giving those Rotarians (and guests interested in joining the Rotary) who couldn’t make it another opportunity to further their fellowship with each other by creating a venue to support business networking. Rotary Means Business encourages Rotarians to support the success of their fellow Rotarian by doing business with them, and by referring others to them. Today Rotarians are embracing the original foundations of what the Rotary Club was based on as we adhere to the Four Way Test.
DG Tom Fletcher (7640) Named as Executive Director of RLI NEA for Next Three Years
District Governor Tom Fletcher (D 7640) has just been named to fill the shoes of PDG Russ DeFuria as RLI NEA's Executive Director from now through 2020.
Russ was recently honored to accept the role of Rotary International Foundation Coordinator for Zone 32. All of us at RLI NEA are very proud of Russ and now he will make a fantastic Foundation Coordinator.
Tom first joined Rotary in 1978 when he became a member of the Middlesex NJ Rotary Club. He had to leave Rotary after he was transferred into a new assignment that required extensive travel.
In 2007 Tom joined the Washington Township Rotary Club and became President in 2012-2013. Tom was an Assistant Governor for District 7640 for 2013-2014. Tom was selected as the District 7640's Governor for 2017 - 2018. Tom retired from a successful career in banking and now has his own printing franchise. He lives with his wife Michele (his bride of +35 Years) in Washington Township. Tom and Michele participated in a Clean Water Project in Panama in October 2016. Their team installed 200 water filtration systems in four different villages in Panama.
Tom has completed RLI courses; Parts I, II, III, the Graduate Course, RLI Facilitator. He has served as District Site Chair and Regional Vice Chair.
Tom is very active in his community and has served as the President of the Chamber of Commerce for 2012 - 2013. He also served on the Washington Twp. Scholarship Foundation and was President in 2010 - 2011. Tom served as Vice Chairman of the Mayor's Economic Task Force. Tom currently serves on the Gloucester County Workforce Development Board

Now is the time to sign up for Spring 2018 Semester RLI NEA Sessions in a District near you. All levels (I, II, III and Graduate will be held at each site as long as at least eight people have signed up for a session (six for Graduate Course) by ten business days before it is scheduled.
