Greetings Fellow Rotarians

In the next few months, we will have several opportunities for fellowship at the Springfield Rotary Club.     We are gearing up for our joint meeting with the West Springfield Rotary Club on March 12th.   I hope everyone is planning to wear their green.  The cost is $12.  We have 27 Rotarians representing our Club.  To join RSVP to Stella Kalamarakis  at Stella_kalamarakis@comcast.net.
Next we will have our Paul Harris Fellowship and Community Grant Program on May 12th, 2016.  We are seeking your input as to who the Rotary Club of Springfield should honor as  Paul Harris Fellow this May.  If you have a person that you would like the Club to consider to please send the name directly to any committee member: Jim Russell, Brennan Collins, Dave Chase, Samir Patel, Paul Lambert or Lamont Clemons no later than March 4th, 2016.
I want to congratulate Valerie Delude on her winning bid for the walking stick Dene Kimball auctioned off.  Dene will carve the story of an individual of Valerie’s choosing into the walking stick.   Valerie’s winning bid was $150.  The proceeds will go to the Rotary Club Service Fund.  Thank you Valerie for your generosity and Dene for your services.
I received a nice note on Bill Massidda from Bernie Spirito.  Please continue to send your Club experiences with Bill to me. I understand he is still bringing his music to the Rotary Club of Wells, Mane.  I will being  card for all to sign on April 1st, 2016 that will accompany the letters to the York, Maine Rotary Club.
The last item I want to bring to your attention is to thank Rick Lee for helping with the bulletin and website.  Rick was able to give the website a new look so please check it out.  The online store front is a crucial recruiting tool for the Club. Rick added a slideshow of past speakers and additional Rotary factoids.   Thank you again Rick
