Dear Fellow Rotarians, we are looking forward to a “SpookTacular” meeting this Friday as we head into Halloween week. Being it’s Rotary it will be all Treats and no Tricks! Get in the spirit and wear a funny hat, tie or Halloween colors and who knows, you may win a prize!
This past Friday we had an interesting meeting as Meghan Lemay from the Alzheimer's Association led us in a virtual ‘dementia experience,’ in which we used common objects to block or hinder our eyesight, hearing, range of hand motion, and other faculties. We then tried to communicate with each other, which provoked a lot of laughs. But it also showed the need for empathy when dealing with the elderly.
