There are no more meetings in August. Our next Rotary meeting will be September 7 at 6:00 at the Longmeadow Adult Center, Pizza and Game Night for Rotary Foundation. Please mark your calendars and RSVP.

 

We are still collecting children’s books and money for school supplies. The homeless shelters are moving families out, but every time a room opens it is filled. Samalid spearheaded the project for donations for the victims of the Maui fire. Rick has put a link on the website. Please post the information on your social media accounts. This is the meaning of Rotary, together we are stronger. I urge everyone to give even a small amount.

Please go to the Rotary website and subscribe to the calendar. It will transfer all our events to your calendars. Also, if your nonprofit is having a fundraiser or event this year pass that information on to me and I will get it on the calendar. Your fellow Rotarians will want to know and support you.

 

We are hoping to host 6 Ukrainians on March 13 for one week. This is a national Rotary Program. The Ukrainians will be here to learn about either “Serving Veterans” or “Serving Children in Crisis”. We need 3 more beds to apply for the program. So far Dene Kimball and I are offering to be hosts. The only obligation will be providing a room for them for one week. Transportation and food will be provided. Please let me know as soon as possible.
